Google Does it Again!

Google has wowed us again!  Last week they unveiled their new Art Project powered by Google.  This is an amazing program that allows anyone to enter into world renowned art museums from around the world with the click your computer.  It uses the Street View technology to help you “walk” through the museum.  Featured art works from the museum are taken an extremely high resolution so you are actually able to see more detail in the painting than if you were standing in front of it at the museum!  Check out the video above to learn more about how to use it.

What are your thoughts about Art Project?  Did you find it easy or difficult to use?  What was your favorite work that you saw and why?

I though art project was really cool. I found that art project was difficult to use at first but then it became easier. My favorite one was the hill of Montamatre. I liked it because it had really cool dashes on it.

I thought this was really interesting. I thought it was kind of difficult to move around the museum. I think it is really cool how you can get really close to the picture.

I thought this was very cool! I think that it is great how you can move around a museum and not even have to go there. My favorite paining to look into was The Bedroom. I found it so interesting to zoom into the chair and found different colors that were not all shades of brown.

I found it hard to "walk" through the muesuems. It was really cool though to see my favorite art pieces up close. My favorite piece of art was A Starry Night because it was really interesting to see all of the seperate brush strokes up close.

I thought it was an interseting website but it was hard to navigate through the museum. I liked looking at all of the different brush strokes in the paintings when it zoomed in and I liked zooming in on The Starry Night.
